In advance of the long holiday weekend, Illinois Governor Bruce Rauner released his eighth batch of clemency decisions yesterday, granting two and denying 98. According to the Governor's office, roughly 800 petitions remain in the backlog of clemency decisions.
Congratulations to those that received their long-awaited clemency! We hope to see more joining you soon.

When is the next election for governor? My petition was denied which isn't surprising since 98% of the petitions in this round were denied, but I hope to re-submit my petition once Illinois has a new governor. I just can't believe that something I did when I was barely 17 would have such a long-lasting negative impact on my life.

I was granted clemency, filed petition and paid fee to my county a year ago and it has been ignored by the county. Can I do anything else?
